At first I thought this book would be my least favorite, but it did grow on me. I was all prepared to make a joke about how earlier Artemis Fowl books were "crazy clever" but this one was just "crazy" (lol, I crack myself up) because Artemis isn't really in his proper state of mind. It's hard to see a character we've grown to love acting sick. But I'll admit, Orion's character turned it around for me. He was so funny and I loved seeing what would say next. This book was different in that it didn't really have a "we won and we're so clever" moment at the end. Probably because of Artemis not really being himself ... Anyway, I did enjoy it though, despite it being different, but it wasn't my favorite of the series.
